Program Overview
We provide training for certain musculoskeletal injuries through post-injury strengthening, functional training, pilates, yoga, movement, and strength reconditioning. There are also many other causes of pain that we look at, such as muscle imbalances and poor postural awareness.
WHO
This program is specifically designed for individuals who have been experiencing persistent pain in the same body area over time and have found that massages or Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatments haven't provided lasting relief. It's also ideal for those who are looking to build strength and resilience following physiotherapy sessions or require professional guidance to effectively perform exercises assigned as homework by their physiotherapist.
Disclaimer: We do not manage pain related to health problems or diseases. Our rehabilitation specialists treat musculoskeletal (muscle and/or bone) injuries while our movement therapists specialize in re-training poor movement patterns which encompass improving flexibility and strength.
why
We often experience pain from bad posture and tight muscles. It can be due to hours of sitting hunched over at our desks during work, spending a long time in high heels, improper lifting of objects, or simply being overweight. Sedentary lifestyles also weaken our muscles which can also be a factor in causing pain as extra effort is needed.
Excessive repetitive movements may overuse certain muscles in our body, resulting in muscle imbalance.
The top three common pains that our clients experience are knee, back, and shoulder pain.
WHat to expect
There are typically about 1 to 2 face-to-face rehab training sessions per week working towards movement, body awareness, and/or manual therapy.
Different types of rehabilitation methods:
Standard rehab services: Post-injury strengthening, Functional training, Pilates, Yoga, Movement & Strength reconditioning
Premium rehab services: Trigger point release, Aqua conditioning, Kinesiology
duration
This program will last about 3 to 6 months, depending on your pain condition, which includes either 12 or 24 personal training sessions that have a duration of 1 hour each. You are also expected to do any other “homework” given by the rehab specialist or trainer (if any) which may include simple exercises to further strengthen your muscles or stretching at home outside of the rehab sessions.

For the above program, we recommend seeing your trainer at least once per week. Exercises are like skills that you practice consistently. So if you would like to see more significant changes in a shorter period of time, we will recommend seeing your personal trainer 2 to 3 times a week to start. This helps you establish a consistent fitness routine in order to achieve sustainable results.

All of our rehab trainers are qualified personal trainers with up to 2 decades of experience. If a client’s goals change along the way, they may choose to switch to someone who is more suitable/experienced in that aspect.

Our team is located islandwide - in boutique gyms: Somerset, Dhoby Ghaut, Kembangan, and Woodlands. Our trainers also do house visits, condominium gyms, outdoors, and virtually as well, depending on your fitness goals. You could let us know your preference during the consultation and we will give recommendations accordingly.

Extension of validity will be on case by case basis, but generally, we are quite strict on it and most of the time our answer is no. In the situation the assigned trainer cannot make it on certain days or periods, we will arrange a cover trainer, so you won’t miss your training.
